Still a bootlegApr 11, 2009
By Derek M. Koch This is worth owning for any Clash fan. Period. Having said that this still looks like it was dubbed from a beta or VCR recording. What appear to be stretch marks crop up from time to time. The sound is much improved from previous bootleg versions, and to a degree so is the video [wide screen]. I guess I was wishing for this 2 be an official release from the Clash, transfered from film. Still worth owning 4 sure.

BEST FULL CLASH CONCERT I'VE EVER HEARDNov 24, 2010
By Horatio B. Weisfeld This is the best if you want to see and hear the band in top form for a whole show (and with Topper still at the sticks). I've seen a number of the other live DVDs and they usually only get a couple of songs right -- ON THIS ONE THEY NAIL IT ! The band is so in synch It kinda' all sounds like one long great song. Why they ever release mediocre swill like "Live at Shea Stadium" when they have stuff like this ..I do not know.
"Clash Live: Revolution Rock" is REAL good DVD also (a compilation of various performances at various places) but make sure you use the menu to turn off the (ruinous) "narration" before you begin (because the dingbat will talk over every song if you don't), and remember: The future is un-written.

The Clash in Tokyo!!!Feb 25, 2009
By Michael Bolan
"Ras Michael"
This has been available on bootleg for many a year and now it's oficially released with all the extras (like good sound and great editing). Pearl E. Gates, aka Pearl Harbour, is in it too and sings "Fujiyama Mama". Topper introduces her and The Clash act as a "support" band to her as they fly through their set. By the way, The Clash are great and this is a wonderful example of them just before they split. The Clash - Live In Tokyo (1982)

As great as the show I saw in 1979.Jan 21, 2011
By Margaret M. Payne Saw The Clash in 1979 in Dallas, TX.Intense.Though this show was 'the beginning of the end -WITH tOPPER SOON 'LEAVING THE GROUP',I was pleasantly suprised that the band was still so intense. They did this show without the 'keys'stage right(no backing keyboards)and they really...well do what The Clash did-KICK %$&!!STRUMMER ACTED A BIT STRANGE WANTING TO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC MORE THAN PLAY IT.INTERESTING.While "Essential Clash and Revolution Rock(lets not forget Rude Boy) are all great dvd's,and you may not get to hear your favorite Clash song, this disc is what people need to see.Hardcore fans or not-GREAT DISC.

By Steve This DVD is incredible. Great quality. The sound is clear, the performance and set list couldn't be better, and the camera angles are totally pro.
