Sharon Shannon and the band just do a fantastic job. Not only are they all excellent musicians but unlike a lot of groups they don't take themselves too seriously and they just get up and have a lot of fun performing. Sharon has to be one of the best concertina players around. A note for all: some of the music is not traditional Irish music but tends toward pop music that is quite evidently popular in Ireland as the crowd's reaction showed. But, there is traditional music played as well. I would buy her next DVD if she decides to put one out. I enjoyed the live performance aspect much better than just hearing the music on a CD. I do have to add that the cheapest place to get her DVD seems to be from Sharon Shannon's own web site, sorry Amazon!

I thought I was getting the CD. I got the DVD by mistake. MISTAKE! I don't think so. It is wonderful. You can see their every facial expression. It is so much fun. Just like you are there. Question. What is it with the Irish and Johnny Cash? I dunno, but it's lots of fun.
They say I can get the CD again in March. I sure hope so. My iPhone is waiting.

I purchased the DVD of this fabulous concert and found it to be one of the best I've seen in recent memory. The number of performers that Sharon Shannon includes in this concert is truly amazing, Having been exposed to some of these artist's which I never heard of before has me chasing some of their CD's. Artist's such as Roesy, Mundy, Declan o"Rourke, Jack Maher and Dessie O'Halloran were all awesome. Unfortunately since they are European artist's and not well known in the U.S. I've had difficulty finding CD's on sale. I'll keep looking.
The main artist Sharon Shannon is great as usual. I've purchased most of her CD's and have enjoyed them all but this one tops the list. I've also purchased the CD which is a two disc compilation of truly enjoyable music. I just wish their were more artist like her around. One of her previous CD's (Collection 1990 to 20?? had Dessie O'Halloran and also Jackson Browne and both of them were great so I was familiar with them from that album.
I'd urge anyone to buy this solid performance especially the DVD

I heard a track from the Live at Dolan's cd on an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin Ireland to Los Angeles in January 2007. That was enough for me to buy the cd, but I couldn't find the DVD anywhere. And now it's here (almost)...I can't wait to see it. The talent jumps out at you.
Load the cd onto your ipod, mp3, whatever. This is a keeper!
Go Sharon, Dessie and all the musicians, especially the banjo player! Now I want to see them in person...
