5This should be in Mostly Autumn CatalogueNov 20, 2005

First of All - As the previous reviewer said - this is NOT PINK FLOYD - but it is still a great DVD.

Hopefully, Amazon will transfer this title into the Mostly Autumn section, as it has nothing to do with Pink Floyd except that "a really great band" is attempting to play (and not too shabbily in my opinion) some Pink Floyd songs.

The person who reviewed this and found out it was not Pink Floyd, and then refused to listen to it is, in my opinion, very sad, as they are missing out on discovering a great new band - at least they should listen to the other DVD that features Mostly Autumn's back catalogue.

I like the idea of the previous reviewer who split his stars over both discs, so I am going with a 4 for the Pink Floyd disc - because it is not Pink Floyd, and secondly I felt that Heather Finley was not kept busy enough singing - she has a beautiful voice, and I think she would have made it better if she had sung more (maybe Pink Floyd purists might not agree, but they probably wouldn't buy this album anyway - which is a shame, as they are right up there with them in great music) and not stood at the back of the stage looking lost. For the Mostly Autumn back catalogue disc I give them 6 stars - Remember though I am biased because I just love Mostly Autumn's music.

IF you have this album thinking it is Pink Floyd - play the second DVD - I can reccomend all the songs, but in particular Evergreen, Heroes Never Die, Mother Nature, Never the Rainbow and Passengers are outstanding songs in their own right.

IF YOU LIKE PINK FLOYD - buy some Mostly Autumn (Not necessarily this DVD) I would strongly reccomend you start out with The Next Chapter.

Trying to describe MA music is not easy (and comparisions with PF are easy to make) their music starts of slowly, and builds into some great rock - with some awesome guitar playing by Bryan Josh. If you like interesting and differenc rock music you WILL like Mostly Autumn.

To sum up, I hope this album gets moved into the Mostly Autumn section and I hope that Pink Floyd fans (of which I am one of them) give this band a chance, and not just rate them one star without listening to them. I don't think it is the band's fault that they have been caught up in this, I can't blame them for wanting to perform PF songs after the Richard Wright interview - they have been around a while and obvioulsy want to increase their fan base. MOSTLY AUTUMN PLAY GREAT MUSIC - GIVE THEM A LISTEN - You will be very glad you did.

4No, This is not Pink Floyd...It's Mostly AutumnJun 05, 2005
By Music4al "Music4al"
One of the reviews said that this DVD was sold to him as Pink Floyd...If you read the DVD carefully you would have easily discovered that it was Mostly Autumn playing....First clues...The big picture on the front shows Mostly Autumn not Pink Floyd... In future, Stop dealing with disreputable or unknowlegeble record stores....especially if the clerks are decades younger than the music your looking for. I went to buy this because it was Mostly Autumn, and the clerk told me it was not Pink Floyd, I told him that I knew it was Mostly Autumn, but complimented him on his knowledge and helpfulness. Now onto the performance, The Pink Floyd side DVD 1, this is a obviously an attempt at a cover band doing there best to play Pink Floyd but not to totally do it so it sounds like a Memorex copy, they put in their own stylings while keeping true to the songs structure and feel, overall I rate the performance about 3 1/2 out of five. The second disc of their own material DVD 2 is where the band shines, because it is they're own tunes they seem more relaxed and confortable that the performance comes together and is really quite good. I would rate it a 4 1/2 out of five... so the rating is middle ground of 4 out of 5 stars.

4??????......????? What's the....Aug 19, 2006

I do not understand one of the review (Lance's) giving one star, and saying that he didn't watch the DVD....How can you give a note without even watching the show? I saw MA in concert in France, I have most of their albums and concerts and I really think that it's a fabulous band. I recommand it expressivly to anyone who loves progressive rock, celtic music and great music played with deep feelings like Floyd off course also RPWL, MARILLION, and more and more...

4a good Pink Floyd tributeJun 08, 2007
By The Delite Rancher
Mostly Autumn's "Pink Floyd Revisited" is an enjoyable experience. Mostly drawing from "The Wall" and "Animals," the song choice is rewarding. Unexpected treats include 'Julia,' 'Echoes' and 'Fat Old Sun.' Vocals tend to be the 'make or break' element for many tributes. Mostly Autumn's Floydian vocals are surprisingly strong. A great tribute pays homage to the parent while simultaneously making a fresh interpretation. Most tributes phonographically copy the original band or fall embarrassingly short in the attempt. Here Mostly Autumn faithfully copies Pink Floyd. So while the music is played well, it has limited value outside earning an 'A' as a final exam for Pink Floyd week at Rock 'n' Roll Camp. The viewer must ultimately wonder if it's just better to just spend time with Pink Floyd. While we can listen to the original albums, there is no official video available for most of these songs. In this respect, a faithful tribute has value when performed live. The other disc features the band playing their songs. While I have opened my heart and mind to their original material, it just seems painfully ordinary. Despite Mostly Autumn's passion and commitment, I find their songs uncompelling. On both discs, the sound quality is excellent while the camera work and video editing is good. That written, the picture quality is pixilated enough to make this look like a good bootleg. As a side note, those who crave Mostly Autumn's Floydian connection should watch the "Inside Pink Floyd: A Critical Review 1967-1996" DVDs. "Pink Floyd Revisited" will appeal to fans of Mostly Autumn and those Floydians who appreciate interpretations.

3Mostly Autumn - Pink Floyd RevisitedApr 10, 2012
By Jose Henrique
It's an album for those who know any other band's work. Not worth it as first impression, it may erroneously assessed. Worth much to the fans and play songs from Pink Floyd is not easy, since their success and the inevitable comparison. The Mostly Autumn are a band of much value their own work and are of excellent quality. The disc serves to conceptualize this band but something apart. The interpretations of the songs are good, but should not be compared to the originals. It's the best job cover of Pink Floyd songs of those who know. Good!
