(...) This DVD / VHS is very enjoyable and pure entertainment. Watching these guys in the outback was fun. The music was refreshing. I went out and bought all of the Sugar Ray records. Then I found out that Music in high places was going to put this Sugar Ray show on the shelf. This DVD has all the great songs by Sugar Ray. It is the best of anything they have done. You will not be let down.

What started it all...Dec 16, 2001
By Jennifer Lynn Tracy One day I was flipping through the channels and came across this playing. It was halfway through, but I enjoyed what I did see greatly. It made me a Sugar Ray fan immediately! And an obsessive fan of the georgeous Mark McGrath...:)

A well rounded experienceFeb 19, 2004
By Emie This DVD covers several fronts...not only does Sugar Ray: Music In High Places provide an exquisite visual and intellectual excursion, taking you across the beautiful Australian landscape and into a bit of the continent's history, but it also offers great acoustic performances from the oft underestimated band Sugar Ray.Their music seems to coexist with the sunny beaches and colorful greenery quite well...especially "summer tunes" like Someday, When It's Over, and Fly. Familiar songs, no doubt...but their live performances, truly add another dimension... A highly recommended virtual outing, for Sugar Ray fans and general music lovers alike. Includes extras such as a "Just the Music" option, Sugar Ray biography, interview, etc.
Nice song setMay 22, 2012
By CypressDan As compared to the others in this series it offered the most recognizable cover songs. Cool location, cool sets and really decent song selection.

Great DVD! Highly recommended for Sugar Ray fans, mellow music lovers, and...get this: aspiring musicians who desire to sing harmony and/or play bongo drums! I seriously learned both from enjoying this DVD! Being a big Sugar Ray fan, this was a classic, and easily one of the best things the band has done; they play all their hits acoustically against a lush Australian backdrop. You really get to know the band, too, through their often amusing and insightful tour of the Outback. It seems like it would be very fun to hang out with them. I'm ever grateful to Sugar Ray for inspiring me, as one of the first bands I started listening to, and for teaching me how to make music.
Check this out. It's well worth your time and money.
You'll see. And hear.
Sugar Ray rocks!
