If you love funk guitar you must get acquainted with Leo Nocentelli's work with The Meters. This DVD won't teach everything you need to know in order to play funk guitar; for that more material is needed. However, it does offer a very valuable insight into Leo's playing and if you take what he shows and learn it, apply it, improvise on it and own it you will definitely become a better player.
Me I am biased, very biased. I love his playing. Just listen to some Meters tunes and you'll know why.

Leo Nocentelli is The Master of Funk Guitar and this DVD shows why.
His playing is legendary. He ranks on The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time (although not as highly as he should).
This DVD goes into details about how he created/played some of the meanest/nastiest/smoothest funk guitar ever. You'll be able to follow along with the DVD and booklet.
DVD quality is very good. Shot from angles so you can actually see whats being played.
You WILL gain some knowledge and become a funky guitar player from this DVD!
