 Adequate but somewhat off.Nov 17, 2007

I bought this DVD because it has some of her later work that is not often demonstrated on film. Ms. Collins has reached the time when the voice begins to deteriorate from the excellence of youth, but she still has excellent clarity and very good control. This DVD is not as good as the Wolf Trap show, but it is an acceptable addition to your DVD performance library, especially if you prefer to listen to people who can actually sing, which is getting harder and harder to find these days.

I bought four of these, all with the exact same two defects: A stall and skip marred "Both Sides Now", same thing with
"Turn, Turn, Turn".
The stall/skip is relatively late in "Both Sides Now", much earlier in "Turn, Turn, Turn".
Perhaps this defect remains, or it could finally be gone. Please let me know either way, customer to customer, by commenting upon this review, perhaps writing your own. I'm waiting for a pre-watched, perfect Judy Collins DVD, which Amazon is unlikely to provide. And I don't feel lucky after four bad ones.
I never understood the lack of earlier reviews calling out these unacceptable defects, clear manufacturer errors.
Amazon's "Rule of 2" required me to purchase two more of these defective DVDs directly from Amazon.com. My earlier pair of purchases from Amazon Marketplace Sellers fail to count under the "Rule of 2", a dumb policy Amazon ought to change. That's why I had to buy a quartet of identically defective Judy Collins DVDs.
So discs 3 and 4 enabled me to finally satisfy Amazon's "Rule of 2". This meant the Judy Collins DVD became an "Item Under Review". What such "review" consisted of is any body's guess, since it's being sold again. I can't find out a thing due to "The Amazon Rule Against Direct Communication With Customers". I desire to learn which Amazon employee, if any, actually watched/listened to "Both Sides Now", plus "Turn, Turn, Turn", and found them to play flawlessly. If so I deserve that disc as a gift for all my trouble, since Amazon refuses to sell anything that's been opened. (These are still more silly, unpublished, Amazon rules that hurt customers. No way am I getting a fifth defective disc, just like the prior four.)
If nobody even played those songs, under what I call "the Amazon rule against ever watching a DVD/Blu-ray), then the same two defects probably still remain.
By the way, it's a great Judy Collins performance, except for the defects which wreck this DVD, four times already for me.
