Great productJul 09, 2010 This was a great product as promised brand new and delivered in a timely manner
Love This Movie!Jun 12, 2010 I saw this movie many years ago & have been waiting for it to show on TV again. But it never did. So I bought it. So glad I did! It is an excellent movie with great acting and great music. I highly recommend it, especially if you like Blues Music!
The best bad movie ever madeJun 05, 2010 Let's get something out of the way, right now.
This is a terrible (or terribly cynical) idea for a movie. A young, inexperienced, classically-trained, white musician suddenly can play the blues after getting his heart broken by a one-night-stand. Awful and laughable.
BUT the music is so good (thank you, Ry Cooder and Steve Vai) and the OTHER lead performance is absolutely brilliant. Joe Seneca is note-on perfect and really, really engaging as old bluesman Willie Brown. Director Walter Hill also gets everything he can out of the script, which has its moments, especially considering the lameness of the concept.
Buy it. You'll watch it more than once.
great bluesFeb 05, 2010 Not the greatest story ever told but its all about the music and it doesn't get much better than this.
Great blues played by really good musicians (not the actors).Robert Johnston is where it all starts with the blues and with this movie.
CrossroadsOct 22, 2009 this is a most awesome movie. Ralph Macchio finally gets away from his Karate Kid persona. If you are into guitar rifts, you will love it! Any time someone beats down the devil, it's divine!
