 Chet atkins rare performances DVDAug 11, 2009
We had the second DVD and didn't realize it was a two set "bio". A nice anthology to have

Totally enjoyed all of the performances on this DVD. This video shows the true genius and incomparable talent of the "master of the acoustic guitar". I am still looking for and can't find a video of Chet performing Yankee doodle Dixie. If anyone has info. please post it under this review. Thanks! Tim

This was superb view of the way he showed his unbelievable skills in his early "Black & White" years of filming. He stands alone although he certainly stands together with the likes of Les Paul, Bert Weedon etc.

 Too few clips from the 1950sNov 09, 2006
A very interesting DVD. However, for those that are fond of the earliest Chet Atkins, it is unfortunate that only five pieces from the 1950s have been included, - all the more so as many more clips from that period exist (Frankie & Johnny, Dark Eyes etc.). Maybe it's a matter of copyright, or the non-included videos are too well-known.

Early Gretsch WorkMar 16, 2006
Great stuff. I have been trying to figure out how he does what he does for over 40 years. This DVD is Chet lovers treasure, especially if you like his earlier Gretsch work.
