For those of you who know the magic and wonder that is Blue October, this set is just another testimony to their greatness. This CD/DVD set showcases songs from the earliest albums to songs that will soon be released. It showcaes the musical talents of Justin, Jeremy, CD, Ryan, and Piper, who seem to blend and flow together in a harmony that you have to see to understand. The DVD features a full length concert--it's high energy, passionate, and you will be hooked. If you've heard Blue and you thought, "oh, I kind of like them," this set is for you. If you are just looking for a rocking band to check out, this set is for you. If you are already a Blue fan, and you don't have this yet, for whatever reason, this set is for you. Blue October will take you in--no matter your social status, age, background, stage in life's roller coaster ride--there is something in here for you. If you know of Blue October and don't yet own it.
Buy this DVD.
If you have never HEARD of them.
Then by ALL MEANS.
Buy this DVD.
I first heard these guys on the radio...And, proceded to purchase their CD "History for sale." I then saw them in concert.
All that needs said is:
"Blue October LIVE is a force unto itself!"
This DVD captures the energy that is Justin Furstinfeld and, the rest of the crew. You'll experience the raw emotion and,the grab you by the frontal lobe and shake intensity that have already taken hold of loyal fans across the nation.
The music...The Lyrics...The ENERGY...
Like I said...
"Do yourself a favor."

Having been a fan of blue october for just over a year now, has been one of the most amazing experiences. Being able to be a part of this live show that was held back on June 4th at the Lakewood Theatre in Dallas, was an experience my girlfriend and I will never forget. Now all of us can relive that experience by watching the dvd over and over and over again. The set list is amazing and the quality of the dvd is outstanding as well. It is worth it...

Having been a blue October fan for four years, I have heard most of their songs in both recorded and live formats. I have to say that their music is far superior live. The lead singer, Justin Furstenfeld, is remarkably expressive and emotional when he performs. In the DVD extras, the viewer is taken inside Justin's mind, getting commentary on the subject of most of the songs on the band's most recent studio recording, "History for Sale." Not only does the viewer get to see Justin pour emotion from every inch of his body while on stage, but also gets to hear Justin's explanation of his songs. Another DVD extra is the "confessional," where crowd members get to talk about their lives. Justin reappears in the segment, too, giving some depth to a few of his songs and showing the most personal side of himself on the entire DVD.
Blue October, as a band, is quite eclectic and can please any music fan. From haunting basslines to violin plucks, the band gives an amazing performance not to be forgotten. I highly recommend it.

I have been a fan of Blue October since I first saw them play on 6-13-03. The DVD captures the energy of their shows and the power thier music has over their fans. If you are a fan of Blue October, or a fan of music at all, this DVD is a must have!! It will break your heart and mend your soul all at the same time. This music has changed my life...and it's the best therapy if you feel alone in the world. I always felt alone, I don't anymore.
