A fun video to watch for nostalgic reasons!!Mar 09, 2006

I enjoyed the video for the music (audio is out of whack) and the scenes of 1970's New York!! Brought back alot of memories!! Unless you are a fan of America i wouldn't recommend this video for its audio quality. But all in all... a fun video if you want to relive your youth!!

Good video but awful tiny audio!Aug 07, 2005
By H. M Rivera Somebody tell me if I got a defective copy because all of the audio tracks are awful! The show is very well filmed but the sound is tiny. No matter what I did to my amp in terms of volume and equalization, the sound was small and distant. Turning it up did not make it any better. The crowd noises were almost louder than the band and the drums are almost non-existent. Stick with the 1999 German "America in concert" DVD, that has much, much better audio.
Skip this, I don't know what audio remixing they did to this.

AMERICA live, fabulousJun 29, 2005
By Jim Nakao

This is a fabulous concert done by AMERICA in 1979 not long after their transition to a duel. The songs are magnificent & the energy unlimited. They still had their long hair which was soon to be cut as the 80's approached. HORSE WITH NO NAME, SISTER GOLDEN HAIR, TIN MAN, DAISY JANE are just some of the carefully woven songs that are played. GERRY articulates as no one else can do in songs such as ANOTHER TRY, I NEED YOU & HERE, on piano or on the 12 string guitar. DEWEY sings his heart out on VENTURA HIGHWAY, TIN MAN, SANDMAN as well as on the mega hit, HORSE WITH NO NAME. GERRY BECKLEY & DEWEY BUNNELL shine brighter than the nearest star.

Terrible audio on this DVDNov 09, 2005

I have purchased many DVDs and VHS music videos. I just love to watch and listen to the music performers, but this audio is the poorest excuse for a music video that I have ever seen. Save your money until they come out with something better.

Great concert DVDJul 29, 2006
By A Fan The audio sounds fine to me, but I don't have an expensive sound system hooked-up to my TV so that may make a difference. A high energy performance while they were still in their prime. Since the tour was promoting their just released "Silent Letter" album, it contains the only live recordings of several songs from that album including "Only Game In Town," "Foolin", and "All Night". Plus it contains many of their classics like "Horse With No Name", "Ventura Highway", and "Sister Golden Hair." It is like traveling back in time to 1979.
